Brigham Young University has announced it will raise tuition by 5.1 percent for undergraduate and advance-standing (graduate) students for the 2009-2010 academic year.
For undergraduate students, the $105 increase will bring semester rates to $2,145, with the $53 increase for spring and summer terms resulting in totals of $1,073 per term.
For advanced-standing students, the new semester rates are $2,710 — up $130 — and the new term rates are $1,355, an increase of $65.
Law school and graduate school of management students will pay $4,990 a semester, an increase of $370, or 8 percent.
As in the past, BYU students who are not members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will pay twice the listed rates, which also reflect the 5.1 percent increase for undergraduate and advanced-standing students as well as the 8 percent for law and graduate management students.
Non-LDS undergraduate students will pay $4,290 a semester (an increase of $210), advanced-standing students $5,420 (an increase of $260), and law and business graduate students $9,980 (an increase of $740).
